Atlético to Sign Riyadh Air Kit Sponsorship Deal
Update: We have created three mock-ups of how the Riyadh Air logo could look on the Atlético Madrid 23-24 home kit. The version with the icon and the Riyadh text in Latin-script only on the bottom appears most likely.

Atletico Madrid have been in search of a new sponsor after the deal with crypto platform WhaleFin fell through. According to Mundo Deportivo, they have been negotiating with several airlines, with Riyadh Air, a Saudi Arabian airline owned by the country's Public Investment Fund, currently in the lead. The airline aims to become a major player in the industry by 2030.
As per @MercadoATM, who tipped us about the story, it's a done deal and Riyadh Air will be announced as the new new Atletico Madrid main sponsor next week. It will be a five-year deal.
Interestingly, both Atletico and Riyadh Air have been teasing about a sponsorship deal. Riyadh Air tweeted the following just as Atletico's game against Manchester City ended earlier today.

Atletico, meanwhile, had different messages on their training shirts this week, with the slogan "To the World" being part of Riyadh Air's tagline "From Riyadh to the World".
If the deal goes through, Riyadh Air will replace WhaleFin, which had agreed to pay 40 million euros annually until 2027.
While the club are selling shirts without WhaleFin's logo, the players still wear the old advertising in matches. However, this will change once the agreement with Riyadh Air is finalized.

Additionally, Capital Energy, the previous sponsor for the training jerseys, is also leaving, leaving the club searching for another new sponsor.
