Schalke Sign Veltins Kit Sponsorship Deal
FC Schalke 04 today announced Veltins as their new kit sponsor. The Sauerland-based brewery had adorned Schalke's chest in the past and also holds the rights to the Veltins Arena until 2027.
FC Schalke 04 faced a last-minute scramble to find a new shirt sponsor after meinAuto.de exercised its termination right due to a company sale. The search for a replacement was complicated and uncertain until just 25 hours before the first match of the season.
Although the partnership is limited to one season, both parties are satisfied with the financial terms. The exact amount remains undisclosed, but rumors suggest Veltins' commitment surpasses typical Bundesliga sponsorships.
FC Schalke 04's new sponsorship deal with Veltins is reportedly worth a higher single-digit million amount, with the shirt sponsorship accounting for about 3 million euros of the package price.
The new Schalke 23-24 jerseys with the Veltins logo are already available for pre-order for €89.95.
