Everton Last? 9/10 Hummel Teams to Receive Same 1986 Denmark Inspired Kit
Nine of Hummel's biggest clubs will receive at least one kit in their 2023-24 set that is inspired by the style of the iconic 1986 Denmark shirt to celebrate the Danish brand's 100th anniversary.
Hummel Widespread 1986 Denmark Kit
The iconic Denmark 1986 kit design consists of many thin vertical lines all over the kits, creating a half-half look by changing the lines' colors in the middle. Reversed colors are used for the sleeves.
All except possibly one club (Everton) in question have already partially had their 1986-inspired kit revealed or leaked - Southampton, Brøndby, Köln, St. Etienne, Werder Bremen, Coventry City, Malaga, Betis, and also the Danish national team.
Hummel released a press release mentioning 9 nine teams in total (including the Danish national team). We already count 10 teams with the design (including the Spanish third division team Intercity), plus 11 with Everton.
Everton 23-24 Home & Away Kits Third to Feature Denmark 1986 Design?
If Everton are part of the group, it is their 2023-2024 third kit that will feature the Denmark 1986 design.
Some of the kits feature a proper half-half design, while others only use it for slight tonal differences (i.e. Köln).
In addition to giving teams the same player kit inspiration, Hummel have also brought back their iconic 1992 Denmark goalkeeper kit. It is used by Köln, Saint-Etienne and Betis.
