Tottenham to Wear Special Charity Sponsor Vs Manchester United, but It is Not Looking Great
Tottenham Hotspur have unveiled special charity shirts for their Premier League fixture against Manchester United, in cooperation with main sponsor AIA.
Tottenham 22-23 "AIA Reading For Dreams" Charity Shirt
The current 2022-23 Tottenham home shirt features the AIA Reading For Dreams sponsor, aimed at raising awareness and funds to support the education of children in rural China.
Unfortunately, the logo designed for the charity shirts is not visually pleasing. It has an unfitting red/blue color scheme and also includes too many elements to make a statement on the pitch.
The initiative provides students at village schools in mountainous areas with access to books. Since its launch in 2021, the program has already provided over 310,000 books to children in rural communities across Yunnan, Sichuan, Hubei, and Henan provinces.
The matchworn shirts from the Manchester United fixture will be individually signed by the Spurs players and auctioned off to raise funds for Reading For Dreams and the Tottenham Hotspur Foundation.
The Club annually work with their Global Principal Partner, AIA, to identify a charitable cause from across the Asia-Pacific region to replace its shirt sponsorship with for one Premier League game per season.
Previous charitable causes to have benefitted from the initiative include:
- AIA China Youth Football Development Fund
- AIA Thailand ‘Sharing A Life’
- ISF Cambodia
- AIA Better Lives Fund, Singapore
