Hideous? Santos Home Kit Features 8 Front Sponsors

Brasileirao Serie A side, Santos are attracting football fans' attention again following their recent controversial shirt sponsor change. After suddenly changing their shirt sponsor from Pixiebet to Blaze, their recent jersey look have caught many people’s attention.

Santos Wear Home Kit With Too Many Front Sponsors Against Gremio

On their latest Brasileirao Serie A encounter against Gremio, Peixe’s new 2023 jersey still attracting attention but this time because of the number of ‘sponsors’ on the front of that kit. From the initial viewing, it looks like they have at least eight different sponsors on them, making the shirt look rather unpleasant and crowded.

Although Santos’ new kit on that clash against Gremio do look crowded, after further viewing, a couple of them are not actually the club’s main technical sponsors. From the top, there’s certainly Kicaldo, followed by Hebron, Umbro, Tek Bond, Blaze, and Binance. However, the next that we can see Pele No Dicionario and Santos Do Mundo patch is technically not sponsors.

The Pele No Dicionario is actually a movement made by Santos in collaboration with Sportv to make Brazil football legend, Pele becomes part of their dictionary. Meanwhile, the Santos Do Mundo patch is a celebration of the club’s 111th anniversary.

Santos Only Sell Shirts With One Shirt Sponsors for Fans

Nevertheless, having around six sponsors in front of the shirt remains very odd and some might even consider it hideous. Interestingly, Santos full of ads jersey is only used by the players during matches and training sessions. The club apparently are selling kits with only one main shirt sponsor on their official online store.

Making it more interesting the shirt they’re selling are still the ones with the old sponsor Pixibet instead of the all-new Blaze. However, that might change in the near future as Santos and their manufacturer, Umbro probably didn’t have time to produce new jerseys with the sponsor’s change.

Although the looks of Santos’ current jersey looks crowded with the amount of logos in front, they have actually done similar things in previous years. At least in 2022 and 2021, Peixe also wore jerseys that have plenty of sponsors in front.

Despite some questions regarding their decision to put lots of sponsors in from of the jersey, Santos are not paying too much attention. The club remain keen on providing space in front of their jersey for as much as sponsors as possible.
