Since several months, there have been rumors that Newcastle United could ditch Castore for Adidas for the 2023-24 season. Now FIFA Kit Creator, an online tool to create custom football kits, have launched a competition to design an Adidas x Newcastle United kit.

From 1995 to 2010, the German brand decked out the Tyneside outfit with the most iconic kit designs the world has ever seen. The kits that saw Alan Shearer set the Premier League goalscoring record have a level of immortality not often given to kits in general.

To celebrate the potential reunion, FIFA Kit Creator has launched a competition to design a modern take on an Adidas Newcastle United kit. The rules are simple: the design must be an outfield kit, featuring any colors of choice, and must include the club crest, Adidas branding, and current sponsor FUN88, in their regular size and position.

More than 200 designers have already submitted their kits for the Adidas x Newcastle United competition. We have featured some of the best designs of the Adidas x Newcastle United kit competition submitted so far.

Adidas x Newcastle United Kit Competition - Rules

The design must be an outfield kit. No goalkeeper kits are allowed.
The design can feature any colors of choice.
The design must feature Newcastle United's crest, Adidas branding, and current sponsor FUN88 (must be of regular size and position; must be legible). No other branding is allowed.

Adidas x Newcastle United Kit Competition - Voting Process

The winning design will be chosen by the users' votes and ratings, with an entry phase of all approved designs and a knockout phase. In the knockout phase, the 32 most popular kits will face each other until the big final, like in the World Cup.
