No More Hummel: Newport Announce New Kit Deal
Following the news of Bristol City penning a kit deal with O'Neills, it has been brought to our attention that Newport County, who currently sit 16th in League Two, have reacted similar to Hummel's official UK licensee going out of business.
The Welsh club earlier this month announced a kit deal with VX3 Sportswear, who are better known for their rugby shirts. Unlike with Bristol, who will switch to O'Neills right away, Newport's deal with VX3 will only commence at the start of the 2023-24 season.
According to the club, VX3 will also manage the club's entire retail operation, both online and in-store. No further details on the deal were given apart from it being "long-term".
Since the deal officially only kicks off in 23-24, we expect Newport to continue wearing their 2022-23 Hummel kits until then.
