Odd: Messi Kit Was a Little Different In 2022 World Cup Quarter and Semi-Finals

In the 2022 World Cup, all eyes are being put on the superstars like Messi, Mbappe, and Cristiano Ronaldo. Now a little observation about Messi's kit has been made by Twitter kit aficionado @TheyThinkKits. Also thanks to UnderStats for the picture and some info.

Messi Front Number Applied Differently Against Croatia and the Netherlands

Beating Croatia 3-0 on Tuesday night, there was a small difference in Messi's kit from the previous game. The number 10 is closer together than in other games. Why? Argentina's kit man applied the front number using two different techniques.

Argentina's kit man used two different ways to center the front number(s)

Vs Netherlands: Number 1 and 0 Of No. 10 Both Applied In Center of Stripes

For the Netherlands game and all previous matches, Argentina's kitman placed both numbers in the middle of the white and blue stripes.

Vs Croatia: Whole Number Centered

For the Croatia game, Argentina's kitman probably used the edge of the blue stripe in the middle of the shirt as the center point for attaching the player's number. The number 1 is still placed in the center between the stripes, possibly intended by the kitman.

Adidas Official - Whole Number Centered

Adidas sell the Messi Argentina 2022 World Cup kit with the single numbers not centered according to the stripes. Instead, the 10 is seen as one number and is centered in the middle.

Overall: "Closer" Numbers Look More Natural, Other Is Technically More Correct

Overall, the closer numbers look more natural to us. However, with the other version also has some advantages, but is not the version Adidas intended.

A closer inspection reveals that the numbers were placed even a little bit different in every match
