No More Puma: Oakland Roots Announce Meyba Deal
Oakland Roots have announced Meyba as their new technical sponsor.
Oakland Roots Sign Meyba Deal
Oakland Roots have become the third club on Meyba's roster since the brand re-entered the sport with FC Twente and then Las Vegas Lights. The deal will see the former Barcelona kit-makers providing gear to the club's development and women's sides, Project 51O and Oakland Soul.
Since their debut in 2019, the USL Championship club have worn teamwear kits from Nike and Puma. They will receive bespoke kits from Meyba, who can focus a lot more on each of their clubs than larger brands, and should produce some really interesting shirts, drawing from the culture of the city.
2020, 2021 and 2022 home kits.
No financial details or information on the length of the contract have been released so far, but the deal will likely come into place after the end of the current USL Championship campaign.
