Adidas to Make Kits of Italy, Costa Rica, Jamaica, Kuwait, Gibraltar, Saudi Arabia & Peru From 2023
From 2023, Adidas are the official supplier of Italy, Costa Rica, Jamaica, Kuwait, Gibraltar, Saudi Arabia, and Peru. While the addition of Gibraltar and Kuwait fall in the less important category of Adidas' sponsored teams, both Italy (A-Level) and Jamaica (B-Level) become premium teams of the brand. Costa Rica, Saudi Arabia and Peru are on a medium level of Adidas' sponsorship range.
Italy and Jamaica will get a premium treatment from Adidas
Adidas will launch completly bespoke kits for Italy and Jamaica but also supply both teams with a range of custom on-pitch and off-pitch items. Italy immediately are on the top level of Adidas' pyramid (Germany, Argentina), while Jamaica are on the second level (e.g. Belgium, Chile, Colombia).
Costa Rica, Saudi Arabia, and Peru are below Italy regarding their treatment. In the beginning, they are certainly also below Jamaica. It is not known if they will get bespoke kits. Especially at the beginning of the partnership, both could get standard teamwear jerseys.
Indeed, Adidas already released their first Gibraltar kits, which are a downgrade from the bespoke Legea kits. Adidas' first Gibraltar jerseys are based on miadidas designs.
Meanwhile, Adidas will lose Kazhakatan in 2023 but extended their deal with Algeria. On Wikipedia, Northern Ireland's deal with Adidas expires in 2022, but we think the agreement will be valid until 2024.
