Many of Adidas' 2022 World Cup kits are available in long-sleeve versions, something that fans have deeply missed in the past tournaments.

Adidas Bring Back Long Sleeve Kits For World Cup 2022

Check out the new Adidas 2022 long-sleeve kits for Germany, Mexico, Japan, Spain, and Colombia.

Adidas offer long-sleeve versions of their 2022 international kits for a few but not all teams - they are available for only 5 nations - Germany, Mexico, Japan, Spain, and Colombia.

Argentina's kits are not available as long-sleeve versions

There are no long-sleeve kits for teams like Argentina, Belgium, Chile, and Wales, unfortunately.

Germany and Japan are the only teams whose long-sleeve kits are available in the authentic "Player Issue" version. The Japan long-sleeve shirt is exclusive to the Japanese market, however. Some clever resellers make it possible to get the Japan long-sleeve jerseys outside Japan.

In terms of the design, the Adidas 2022 kits in the long-sleeve version are completely identical to the short-sleeve version. The biggest upside of the long sleeve version is the fact that the 3 Stripes run all the way to the sleeve cuffs, barring one gap for patches.

We particularly like those long-sleeve shirts whose sleeves have a design - the Japan and Mexico 2022 away kits stand out here.

Japan and Germany are the only nations whose authentic long-sleeve kits are available

A few years ago, long-sleeve kits were still a common sight during the World Cup, but they were available less and less every year. However, recently some superstars like Cristiano Ronaldo, Leroy Sane, Gerard Pique, and Ousmane Dembélé started to wear long-sleeve kits again.

Former England international and forward Kevin Keegan is another famous example offer

wearing long sleeve kits. Keegan played for teams like Hamburger SV, Liverpool, Newcastle United and Southampton during the 1970s and 1980s.

Luckily for all kit aficionados, Adidas are slowly but surely starting to produce them again whenever it is commercially feasible. For example, Real Madrid, Manchester United, and Arsenal already received long-sleeve kits for the 22-23 season.
