The shirt is pictured below.
The jersey worn by the players in the match against Napoli is the same as their standard home kit, but with an inscription below the crest reading "1949 - 2022, Grande Torino, La Nostra Storia". Grande Torino is the name given to the iconic Torino team of the 1940s who won 5 consecutive championships and contributed many players to the Italian national team.
On the 4th of May 1949, while returning from a friendly match against Benfica in Lisbon, the plane carrying the Torino squad crashed into the supporting wall of the Superga Basilisca which overlooks the city of Turin. All 31 people on board were killed.
Every year on the 4th of May, the Torino squad travel to Superga to pay their respects to the great team of the 1940s, whose success the club have not seen the likes of since.
