2 Umbro Santos FC x Charlie Brown Jr. Jerseys + Collection Released

Update: The Umbro x Santos x Charlie Brown Junior collection was released last week. It is composed of seven different pieces in total including two retro style jerseys in men's and women's versions (these will not be worn in any matches), two t shirts, a hoodie, a pair of shorts, a basketball jersey and a pair of trainers, all in Santos' colours of black and white and featuring some reference to the group.

Checkerboard elements give the pieces a skater look, while Umbro opted to use their 90s logo with its older font to reflect the time when Charlie Brown Junior were at their peak. The year 1992 is included on many of the pieces as a tribute to their founding year.

Charlie Brown Junior were one of the biggest bands in Brazil in the 90s and 2000s and also achieved significnt recognition outside of the country. Late lead singer Chorão was a notoriously difficult character and a proud Santos fan.

The group were very popular within the skateboarding community, so the collection is expected to be made up of several skate-inspired pieces such as t-shirts, shorts, track pants and trainers and will probably not contain a match jersey.

The club's black and white colours, graffiti style lettering and a loose fit will be key elements of the collection, with the 013 area code also incorporated. A checkerboard effect can be seen on the side of the t-shirt pictured below and the shorts seen in the video.

The Umbro x Santos FC x CBJR collection should be officially launched in the coming days.
