Barcelona Reveal Look of Spotify on Kit - No Changing Logos? + Members Approve Deal

The Extraordinary Assembly of FC Barcelona today ratified the deal with Spotify with 89 percent of the votes in favor. At the Extraordinary Assembly, the club released a detailed overview of how the Spotify brand will advertise at FC Barcelona, including the match kit and stadium.

Barcelona did not announce the exact figures of the deal with Spotify because Spotify insisted on a confidentiality clause. However, the figures already surfaced some weeks ago.

The agreement with Spotify was well received by most club members. 909 members voted in total, with 625 voting in favor, 49 voting against, and 27 leaving their vote blank. As only a simple majority vote was required to ratify the agreement, the Assembly gave their support to the Board of Directors' decision with a clear majority.

FC Barcelona x Spotify Match Kits & Training Shirts

The Spotify logo will be on the front of the FC Barcelona kits for four seasons, from 2022-23 until 2025-26. Spotify will also sponsor the training shirts beginning in the 2022/23 season for the next three seasons.

The illustrative pictures Barcelona showcased all feature the Spotify logo in white on Barcelona's kits. We strongly expect the Spotify logo to be white on Barcelona's 22-23 home kit, therefore.

While it is rumored that Spotify will advertise with changing logos (e.g. artist logos, album covers), Barcelona did not show off a single mock-up with it. It remains to be seen if and how often Spotify will advertise with different brandings, but we still think so.

Barcelona x Spotify Stadium Rights

How the redeveloped Camp Nou will look.

The long-term agreement for the stadium’s title rights begins in July 2022. It will continue through the redevelopment of the Camp Nou site. The stadium will be renamed Spotify Camp Nou.

Visibility assets have also been included in the stadium, with Spotify appearing on the façade of the main stand, and on the seats of the Gol Nord stand.

Other rights of the FC Barcelona Spotify deal include different advertising spaces, the Spotify Camp Nou name on the Camp Nou pitch as well as experiences and imagery in audiovisual content, hospitality packages, or Barça experiences.
