Union Berlin Announce New Main Sponsor
Bundesliga side Union Berlin will have a new main sponsor from next season, the club announced yesterday.
Digital insurance company Wefox, who already were Union Berlin's sleeve sponsor since they were promoted to the Bundesliga in 2019, will take over from Aroundtown as main jersey sponsor starting with the 2022-23 season.
“We love this city, this community, this club. With wefox as a premium partner, first-class football meets first-class insurance advice. Because great things can only be achieved together with an iron team spirit. Wefox has been a sponsor on the jerseys of 1. FC Union Berlin since 2019. We are proud to support an association whose passion and fan love gives you goosebumps in and outside the Alte Försterei,” reads a Wefox company statement.
"Wefox's development in recent years is really impressive and we are proud that we were able to effectively support our partner on his way with our presence in the Bundesliga. Since the summer of 2019, this partnership has been practiced by both sides with a lot of passion and commitment, and the role of the challenger in a new competitive environment connects and inspires us. The joint decision to tackle a new stage together shows that it fits really well,” said Union President Dirk Zingler.
