Fakers Produce Barcelona 22-23 Home, Away and Third Kits
Not for the first time and certainly not for the last, football shirt counterfeiters have produced fake versions of Barcelona’s 22-23 kits, based on the real designs that will be used.
Accurate renders of Barcelona's 22-23 kits and the counterfeit shirts based on their designs
Fake Barcelona 22-23 Home Kit
Check out the counterfeit home shirt below.
The home shirt is true to the leaked design we have seen, but there are several indicators that it is a knock-off and not an original. First of all, there is no tag on the inside of the collar. The material on the inside of the shirt is plain, only the outside has been printed with the design. This is another common giveaway as on authentic shirts the colours or pattern are almost always present on the interior of the fabric.
The stitching around the neckline and the curved seam on the torso of the shirt are not as neat and tidy as they should be. The curvature of the seams and the elastic of the neckline is not perfectly symmetrical, something which you would not see on an official jersey.
Club badges and manufacturer logos have been steadily improving in terms of quality on counterfeit shirts, but there is still some way to go before they match the standard of the real deal. If you look closely at the Swoosh on the home shirt, there is a wobble towards the thin end.
Fake Barcelona 22-23 Away and Third Kits
Counterfeit away and third shirts
The away and third kits are less accurate than the home kit, although they do contain the Spotify logo. It remains to be seen what type of logo Spotify will put on the shirts that will be on sale to fans.
They both use the current season Vaporknit template with classic stitching and the small overlap at the back of the collar, rather than next season’s version with its signature collar and curved seams. The colours used for the sleeve cuffs on the away shirt do not match up correctly to the colours of the Olympic rings, which are set to be used on the official away shirt, paying tribute to the 1992 Barcelona Olympic Games. For the third kit, the main colour is wrong. It appears to be white in the photo but the official kit will be silver.
Mundo Deportivo's leaks of the away and third designs
It makes sense that the home kit is the “best” of these fake kits, given that there have been more leaks and renders of its design on the internet, but the fake third shird shown here seems to be especially poor.
