All-New Streamlined Canadian Premier League Kit Font Released

A new league-wide font has been released for the Canadian Premier League, following on from the release of all clubs’ new Macron kits last week.

New Canadian Premier League Font after three years

Check out the new lettering and numbering below.

The new font is inspired by the one used by the Canada national team during their only successful World Cup qualifying campaign to date. It’s a fitting time for the tribute as they have their best chance in years of qualifying this year for the World Cup in Qatar.

The line running from left to right across the upper part of the letters and numbers represents the 49th parallel, a circle of latitude that goes across Canada and through all 10 provinces. It is meant to unify players across the league, and symbolize Canada’s connection from east to west.

At the bottom of the numbers the league crest can be found in a contrasting colour, while the crest features also as a sublimated graphic covering the whole number.
