San Diego Wave Colors and Logo
The expansion team from San Diego chose to base their colors and symbols on local scenery. Their look is especially inspired by the Pacific ocean and the beaches there.
The shape of the crest symbolizes a shield, representing the strength of the city. There is also a sun on the horizon, with the colors inspired by the sunsets, sand and Pacific ocean.
The central piece of the crest is of course a wave, which is so important it even features in the club's name.
In terms of players, San Diego Wave have already been busy with recruitment. Among with many talented players, they managed to sign two-time World Cup winner Alex Morgan, one of the USA's highest-achieving and most famous athletes.
It remains to be seen what San Diego Wave's inaugural home and away kits, made by Nike, will look like. We are certainly excited for what the club's future holds.
