Flamengo & Internacional 21-22 Black Excellence Kits Released
CR Flamengo and SC Internacional, in cooperation with their supplier Adidas, launched special kits to celebrate the manifesto "Excelência Negra" (Black Excellence). Excelência Negra has been created by Marcelo Carvalho, one of the creators of the Racial Football Observatory.

The CR Flamengo and SC Internacional 2021-2022 Black Excellence jerseys are the same except the crest. The kit is black with a white collar and white logos, featuring a special icon in the center front between the Adidas and Flamengo logos as well as unique numbers.
A unique manifesto is applied on the numbers of the kit, with phrases such as "the black man in Brazilian soccer is the mark of Brazil", "black players won the world"
In addition, the kit features a "patch" of a Black Power hair with the phrase "It's the Crown" printed all over it, inspired by the iconic phrase of Babu Santana, a Flamengo fan and a symbol of racial activism.
The new Internacional & Flamengo 2021-22 Black Excellence football shirts are based on the Tiro 21 training template, just like the shirt released earlier this year to commemorate the achievements of women's football.

"It is too important to see an action that honors black men and women who helped build the wonderful history of Brazilian soccer. The fight against racism is also, to avoid the erasing of the history of athletes who, with their talents, made Brazilian soccer not only a winner, but also remembered for being something magical," comments Marcelo Carvalho, creator of the Racial Football Observatory.
The Adidas Flamengo & Internacional Black Excellence shirts retail at R$ 279.99 (45 Euro), respectively.
