Chile Announce Adidas Kit Deal

The Chilean national team just announced a five-year kit deal with Adidas, which takes effect today, September 1st, 2021.

Chile will wear Adidas kits starting with the two 2022 World Cup qualifiers against Peru and Venezula in October.

Today's announcement ends Chile's dispute with Nike during which the team famously sported jerseys with the manufacturer logos hidden in a makeshift fashion.

The president of the Football Federation of Chile, Pablo Milad, was satisfied with the agreement: "We have reached a good agreement. We will have quality clothing for all our teams. In addition, this alliance also includes the delivery of balls for our national teams," he said.

Meanwhile, Pablo Cavallaro, Brand Director of Adidas Chile, said: "Our brand is present in the daily life of Chileans, and this agreement reaffirms this. For us it is a pride and a giant step to be able to develop the uniform of everyone's team. Dressing La Roja for the next five years in all its competitions is something that makes us very happy."

Adidas return to supplying Chile's kits after 27 years, following a first stay that oversaw the 1974 and 1982 World Cup participations as well as the third-place finish at the 1993 U-17 World Cup.
