Wolfsburg & Kaizer Chiefs Share Nike Designs - Funny "Inspirations"
South African club Kaizer Chiefs released its new 21-22 home and away kits last Sunday - they boast outstanding designs that are, however, not completely unique for the club.

The new Kaizer Chiefs 2021-22 away kit has the same pattern as the Wolfsburg 21-22 home kit. That is nothing extraordinary for Nike but what is odd is that both clubs have given totally different design inspiration for the same graphic, as spotted by @ZamielDaza.
Wolfsburg is inspired by car prototypes, Kaizer Chiefs by the African continent
Kaizer Chiefs' 21-22 away kit "black and iron grey with accent gold lines mapping out the African continent". Wolfsburg's 21-22 home kit "is supposed to be reminiscent of Erlkönige (masked car prototypes).

It is nothing all-new for Nike to use the same design for different teams - their 2020 Japanese J League jerseys all had designs of European teams, and there was also an explanation for the bespoke inspiration for some.

What do you think of this Nike design? Should teams do it without an explanation in these cases? Comment below.
