Aston Villa Football Club's new 2021-22 away uniform is inspired by the 40th anniversary of the club’s historic European Cup triumph. On Wednesday, May 26, 1982, Aston Villa won the European Cup (now UEFA Champions League), thanks to a 1-0 victory against Bayern Munchen.

The Kappa Aston Villa 2021-2022 away jersey is white with claret pinstripes on the front. Kappa uses a double round neck and a contrasting collar.
To celebrate 40 years since that famous night in 1982, a claret star is proudly displayed at the top of the reverse including the inscription ‘1981-1982’.
