Mizuno Unveils Remake Of The Morelia Wave - 7th Entry Of The 'Rebuild Project'

As part of their Rebuild Project, Mizuno has announced the 7th entry, the Mizuno Wave. It first released back in 2003 with the idea of combining the traditional Morelia with their newest, innovative Wave technology at the time. The result was an ultra-soft leather boot that provides excellent cushion yet also offers a great level of stability and lightweight feeling.

MIZUNO MORELIA WAVE 'REBUILD'

Here are the new Mizuno Morelia Wave 'Rebuild' cleats.

The new Morelia Wave 'Rebuild' cleats from Mizuno are in white with blue soleplates and logo while red is used for minor details. The design is faithful to the original boots. They feature a soft kangaroo leather that ensure comfort for the whole match.

The classic fold-over tongue is also kept with the 'Mizuno' name on it as well as the phrase 'Professional Model'. It is secured in place by a velcro.

Mizuno makes a change with the heel liner, however. Instead of the old synthetic material, the suede texture found in the new Morelia Neo III is applied to provide a better fit at the heel area.

The soleplates of the new Mizuno Morelia Wave 'Rebuild' are the same one that found on the original Morelia Wave. The stud pattern was constructed using data gathered from foot movement analysis of every 1/100th of a second made by top players during play.

Mizuno's innovative Wave technology can be found mounted at the heel. It improves cushion and stability while also being compact and lightweight.

A total of 3000 pair of the new Morelia Wave 'Rebuild' football boots from Mizuno will be available, of which 1000 are for the Japanese market. Pre-order has started in Japan and the boots will be released on June 11.
