Estudiantes To Have Kits Made By Their Own Brand
As their contract with Under Armour is nearing its' end, Estudiantes have decided to make their own kits instead of extending with Under Armour or find another supplier.
The new brand RUGE will begin the design process for the new kits and Estudiantes will wear their in-house design uniforms from the 2022 season.
Club's president Martín Gorostegui, explained about the new project: "We saw the opportunity that was presented by the departure of our current technical sponsor, the opportunity to think and develop this idea that we had a while ago. The club is proud that RUGE is now a reality."
"RUGE is an inclusive concept. It includes us all. It is our way of transforming everything we feel for our club into a shirt. It includes us as a family, it includes our values, our way of seeing what sport is and club life."
Estudiantes teased the logo of RUGE earlier this month. However, that has been changed to the current one, possibly due to the fact that it looked exactly like the logo of Cubase, a digital audio workstation developed by Steinberg Media.
Do you think the in-house brand RUGE can do justice to Estudiantes' new kit design? Let us know in the comment.
