Dynamo Dresden Announces Umbro Kit Deal

German 3. Liga club, who could gain promotion to the 2. Bundesliga again, today announced that Umbro will be Dynamo's new kit supplier starting in summer. Umbro is replacing the Swedish functional clothing specialist CRAFT after a three-year collaboration.

Craft is the seventh kit maker in 20 years

Dynamo Dresden has had six different kit makers in the past 20 years - Reebok, goool.de, Nike, Jako, Erima and Craft.

Umbro To Make Dynamo Dresden Kits In Five-Year Deal Until 2026

Umbro will equip all SG Dynamo Dresden teams until 2026 in a five-year deal, starting from the 2021/22 season. The deal was arranged by the marketing agency SPORTFIVE.

"We are proud to welcome Umbro, a company rich in tradition from the motherland of soccer, as our new supplier in the Dynamo family from the summer onwards, a company that, like our sports community, can look back on a long soccer history. In the many joint discussions, the Umbro managers have shown from the very beginning that they are eager to work with the SGD. Our fans and all the teams of the sports community can already look forward to jerseys, teamwear and lifestyle apparel of a very high quality," explains Dynamo's managing director Jürgen Wehlend.

"We are very pleased to count Dynamo Dresden, another special soccer club with tradition, among our partners. Umbro fits Dynamo and Dynamo fits Umbro as do our other clubs such as West Ham United, Derby County, Heart of Midlothian, Werder Bremen or Schalke 04," said Michael Scholz, General Manager of Umbro Germany.

Felix Lorenz, Managing Director of SG Dynamo Dresden Merchandising GmbH, is delighted about the partnership with Dynamo's new sporting goods supplier: "Umbro, with its identity steeped in tradition, is a perfect fit for Dynamo Dresden and has always seen itself as a genuine soccer brand that brings people together. Umbro was the very first outfitter to sell jerseys as an item to fans who wanted to feel close and connected to their club and idols. Dynamo fans can expect individual everyday wear tailored to the SGD in addition to, let's say right now, jerseys and teamwear items that are particularly worth seeing."

Maik Hägner, head of the SPORTFIVE team at Dynamo Dresden, added: "We are delighted to have won Umbro as an outfitter for Dynamo Dresden. Umbro has been one of the world's leading brands in the sporting goods sector for almost 100 years and combines a wealth of experience with innovative ideas for the future. With Umbro, SG Dynamo Dresden will cut a fine figure not only on, but also off the pitch."
