2020 Worst Football Boots By Footy Headlines

Our list of worst soccer boots of 2020 does include some special releases but mainly regular colorways. There are a few things that stand out. First, in contrast to previous years, Puma played much safer in 2020 and did it almost without insane releases. Adidas, meanwhile, released much bolder boots than their two rivals Nike and Puma - some of them made it on our list.

To select the worst football boot of 2020 was an easy choice - it had to be the first-ever soccer boots from fashion brand Balenciaga.

3: Adidas X Ghosted 'Yamamoto'

To understand this entry, you may need some further knowledge. Inspired by the amazing 2014 Adidas Yamamoto F50 Adizero boots, the remakes do not feature a Yamamoto design but just the Peregrine Falcon graphic from the X Ghosted# SE plastered on a green and one a blue boot. The boot does not look as bad as other but it is just sad to see how that remake was recreated.

2: Puma Ultra Unisport 'The Drip'

The Puma x Unisport Ultra boots are designed to look "like sauce is dripping off the boots - in the colors of red and yellow". It is not known if it was a joke by the Danish guys at Unisport to release that boot, but they deserve the second place.

1: Balenciaga Soccer Sneaker

Called 'Soccer Sneaker', the first-ever football boots from Balenciaga retail at 760 USD, are made in China and do not feature real leather. These are the three main reasons why the Balenciaga boot tops the list.
