Liverpool Signs Expedia Sleeve Sponsor Deal

2019-20 Premier League champions Liverpool FC have new sleeve sponsor since this month - they already signed a deal with travel platform Expedia in mid-October 2020.

Liverpool's previous sleeve sponsor was Western Union. Their five-year deal with Western Union ended prior to the 2020–2021 season, two years earlier than stated on the contract.

Expedia takes over the sleeve sponsorship for both the men’s and the women’s teams. Neither the exact length of the contract nor the financial details have been announced officially.

However, it is widely expected that the Liverpool FC Expedia sleeve deal is worth more than the club's previous deal with Western Union (was worth UK£5 million / year) - it is assumed that LFC secured a deal in the region of UK£10 million like Arsenal, Chelsea and Man Utd's sleeve deals.

“I’m delighted to embark on this journey with Expedia and looking forward to the relationship benefiting our global fanbase when we can all experience the freedom of football and travel once again,” stated Matt Scammell, who was appointed Liverpool’s commercial director in July.

“When we can all freely experience the joy of travel again, we look forward to being the perfect travel companion for the Reds and their fans around the world, ensuring that wherever they are, they will never walk alone,” stated Adam Jay, president and co-lead of marketing at Expedia Group.

Expedia made its sleeve debut on Saturday, October 17, against Everton.
