In Detail | Nike Nigeria 2018 vs 2020 Home Kit
Nike finally launches the Nigeria 2020 kit this month. Set to be used from now until summer 2022, we compare the Nike Nigeria 2020-2022 home jersey with the famous Nigeria 2018 World Cup home kit.
Nigeria 2018 World Cup vs Nigeria 2020-2022 Home Kits
Both the Nigeria 2018 World Cup and the Nigeria 2020 home kits have unique designs. However, the 2018 Nigeria kit is much more modern than the Nigerian culture inspired 2020 home kit.
A difference that is only sisible on closer inspection is that the 2020 design was hand-drawn (it derives from traditional Nigerian Agbada robes), while the 2018 kit has straight digitally-created graphic patterns.
Nigeria 2018 World Cup jersey is based on the 2018 Nike Vaporknit kit, while Nigeria's 2020-2022 jersey is based on the 2020 Nike Vaporknit kit. This is the same as for all other Nike 2018 / 2020 jerseys.
Nigeria 2018 vs 2020 Away Kits
Nike's Nigeria 2020 away jersey has a bespoke design on the sleeves and the collar, in contrast to the standard 2018 away kit.
Retail-wise, we expect that the Nigeria 2020-22 home kit will be not as hard as get as the 2018 shirt in the beginning (almost impossible in the first weeks two years ago). Pricing for the Nike Nigeria 2020-2022 kit is very similar. The price of the replica is 85 USD vs 90 USD (Nike increased the price of its replica kits ahead of the 2019-20 season), while the authentic retails at 140 Euro.
