Sevilla Extends Nike Deal For One Season Until 2022 - Record-Breaking Sales With Nike
After a late victory against Wolves, FC Sevilla is in the semi-finals of the 2019-20 UEFA Europa League final tournament. Already some days ago, it was announced by the club that they extended their deal with Nike.
Nike To Make Sevilla FC Kits Until At Least End Of 2021-22 Season
FC Sevilla and Nike extended their original three-year kit deal for another season, until the end of the 2021-22 season.
While no financial details of the extended partnership were disclosed, it is widely expected that the terms of the first deal have not been changed greatly. The partnership is worth a reported €2.3 million a year, with bonuses of up to 500,000 Euro when qualifying for the Champions League. In addition, Sevilla also reportedly receive ten per cent of the national sales of club-branded Nike merchandise and 15 per cent of international sales.
With Nike as supplier, Sevilla managed to break their merchandise sales records in recent seasons, with respective growth of 51 per cent and 81 per cent on the 2017/18 and 2016/17 campaigns.
Sevilla also assures that "it is only the beginning of the ambitious projects designed with Nike."
Sevilla was also looking for a new main sponsor to replace Marathonbet, with Betway rumored as new partner. Negotiations have been stuck since then - Marathonbet has a contract with FC Sevilla until the end of the 2020-21 season.
