First-Ever Bespoke Kits Incoming - Wehen Wiesbaden Announces Capelli Kit Deal - No More Nike After 13 Years

German 2. Bundesliga club SV Wehen Wiesbaden today announced that Capelli, the New York "sports label", will replace Nike as kit supplier after 13 years.

Capelli To Make Wehen Wiesbaden Kits From 2020-21 Season Until 2025

The Capelli Sport Wehen Wiesbaden deal runs from the start of the 2020-2021 season until 30.06.2025. As it is usual, the deal covers not only the equipment of the professional team on the pitch but also the area of training and leisure wear.

For the first time in its history, SV Wehen Wiesbaden will appear in jerseys designed exclusively for the club for the new season.

"We will receive jerseys that are completely tailored to our club and completely individualised, which will reflect everything that stands for us as a club - our colours, our claim 'the W unites' and much more", says Nico Schäfer, spokesman for the management of SV Wehen Wiesbaden.

Kay Mourhege, President Europe of Capelli Sport, is also convinced of the new partnership: "Everyone at Capelli Sport is looking forward to working with SVWW. Together with SV Wehen Wiesbaden we want to establish ourselves here in the metropolitan region. In addition to the professionals, we have a strong focus on the youngsters, whom we want to inspire with our young New York lifestyle".

"With this strategically oriented partnership, we can optimally combine the strengths of both houses," explains Markus Klepzig, Head of Marketing and Sales at SVWW. "We see enormous potential, particularly with regard to anchoring in the region through our brand message 'the W unites', or the US base located here.

In addition to the professional sector, all SVWW junior teams will be competing in Capelli Sport from the new season onwards, even wearing the jersey of the professional team for the first time. Likewise, the SVWW football school and the associated camps will be equipped with the teamwear of the American manufacturer.

"For our professional and junior team it was important to get a partner who has experience and know-how here, but also meets the spirit of the times," says SVWW sports director Christian Hock. "In the discussions and also in the selection process of the products, we at Capelli Sport have gained a very positive impression. Our entire sports division is very much looking forward to it when it starts soon.
