Our 10 Best Boots Of The Decade

The 2010s have been a good decade for football kits, as our list of the Top 10 Kits released in the last ten years revealed. However, the decade was even more interesting for people into football boots - there have been much bigger innovations than with football jerseys.

The 2010s brought us the first-ever knitted, high-cut and (knitted high-cut) laceless soccer cleats. For someone who would awaken from coma after ten years sit would be a very big shock seeing today's football boots, and also the development over the years.

10 - Adidas Nemeziz

Inspired by medical tape, the Adidas Nemeziz might be not the best looking boot. However, there are certainly the best laceless boot available, offering both a tight and comfort fit.

9 | Puma Future Netfit

Puma introduced (Future Netfit, ONE) and discontinued (evoPOWER; evoSPEED) many different boot silos in the 2010s. The Puma Future Netfit with its revolutionary Netfit lacing system is here to stay, at least if Puma is wise.

8 | Adidas Adizero F50 - Messi Edition

We still are sad that Adidas decided to discontinue the Adidas F50 Adizero silo - the Three Stripes brand do not offer a such a lightweight minimalist speed boot anymore. They were many great colorways of the boots - the white and red Adidas F50 Adizero Messi boot released in 2013 is our favorite.

7 | 2010 Nike CTR Maestri

The Nike CTR Maestri is one of people's boot silo that they miss most. They were replaced with the revolutionary Nike Magista in 2014 ahead of the World Cup.

6 | Nike Clash Euro 2012 Collection

The Nike EURO 2012 Clash collection was the best looking boots collection for a big tournament in the 2010s.

5 | Adidas Copa 19+

The Adidas Copa 19+ football boot was the best release of the past few years - laceless leather design as it should look like in 2019.

4 | Nike Mercurial Vapor IX CR7 Special Edition

Limited to just 100 pairs worldwide, the Nike Mercurial Vapor IX Cristiano Ronaldo boot released in 2014 to celebrate his 2013 Ballon d'Or title are boots color combined in perfection. No0o wonder they were sold out in less than a minute.

3 | Nike Hypervenom 2013

The original Nike Hypervenom football boot might be the best-ever synthetic boot ever released. If Nike wouldn't have it got so wrong with the second generation of it, we think the silo would be still there.

2 | Adidas Ace Purecontrol / Ace 16+ GTI

The first-ever modern laceless knitted football boot, the Adidas Ace Purecontrol were the most revolutionary Adidas football boot released this decade. The tech innovations were already big, but especially the aesthetic brought football boots on a whole new level.

1 | Nike Magista Obra 2014 World Cup Boots

The Nike Magista Obra 2014 World Cup Boots were the most revolutionary and game-cahning football boot released in the 2010s, and certainly also in this century so far. They were both the first-ever knitted and high-cut soccer cleat, changing the game forever.
