Remarkable - English League One Club Fleetwood Town Keeps Home & Away Kits For 2019-20
Very interesting football kit news from the English League One as Fleetwood Town announced that they will keep both of last season's kits for the 2019-2020 campaign.
Fleetwood Town and Hummel signed a long-term deal last year, replacing Puma. Fleetwood Town and Hummel released two kits for the 2018-2019 season - a rather classic home kit as well as a striking yellow away jersey - the club will keep the design of both of these jerseys.
In fact, the Fleetwood Town 2019-20 home and away kits will only feature the same designs but not the same technology - the Hummel Fleetwood Town will feature Hummel's environment friendly ZEROH2O technology.
The new ZEROH2O concept sportswear – introduced by Fleetwood and hummel this season - will see zero water consumption and zero waste-water discharges – setting a new standard for eco-efficiency and reducing energy consumption by 50%. The new initiative fits well into hummel’s overall mission to change the world through sport.
Normally, it takes 25 litres of fresh clean water to dye just one single football shirt, and every two years, it takes the entire volume of the Mediterranean Sea to colour the world’s textiles – which is simply not sustainable.
Hummel Fleetwood Town 2019-2020 Home Kit
The Hummel Fleetwood Town 2019-2020 home kit mirrors that of last season. It features the traditional red and white with some finishing touches of black on the collar, with the trademark hummel chevrons running down the sleeves. The home shirt also has an embossed anchor from the club crest on the reverse – providing the Cod Army with a link to the town’s heritage.

The Fleetwood Town 19-20 away kit also remains the same visually, with a vibrant all yellow strip with black chevrons running down either sleeve, as well as the shorts and socks.
Neil Burke, Commercial Director of hummel, said: “It’s absolutely wonderful to be able to launch the ZEROH2O campaign. We have experienced tremendous positivity from our clubs, who are all working together for a greater course. We are proud to work together with the clubs and the fans to make a difference on an important issue.”
Dave Riche, Town’s General Manager, said: “Water scarcity affects almost half of the World’s population and it’s estimated that over 800 million people do not have access to clean water close to home. These are facts that emphasize the importance of doing something about water consumption in the global fashion industry. ZEROH2O by hummel is the first step and Fleetwood Town are proud to be part of this initiative.”
It is not known yet if Fleetwood Town will release a new third kit for the 2019-2020 season - we could well imagine so.
