It is safe to say that there would have been no better match for the debut of the new Adidas 2019-20 home kit that is inspired by the kit worn in 1999.

Man Utd's 19-20 home kit is a tribute to the 1999 Champions League-final kit featuring the special badge as well as many elements to celebrate the 1999 treble such as the minutes of the goals scored against Bayern Munich that are printed inside small black boxes on the sleeves - 90+1' and 90+3'.
The game was not nearly as dramatic as the game 20 years ago as Man Utd's legends won 5-0 thanks to goals from current United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, Dwight Yorke, Nicky Butt, Louis Saha and David Beckham.
