Made In France: Here Is Which Special Socks Tottenham's Moussa Sissoko Was Wearing Against Man City
If you watched this week's UEFA Champions league clash between Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City, you might have noticed that Spurs midfielder Moussa Sissoko was wearing extraordinary socks. We find out what they are (thanks to French specialists Footpack for the info).
Made in France - Moussa Sissoko Wears Ranna Sport R-One Grip Socks
Moussa Sissoko is wearing socks of French company Ranna Sport, called the Ranna Sport R-One Grip socks. They are 'Made In France' and feature a remarkable hexagon design while being white otherwise.
The Ranna Sport sports socks focus on three characteristics - support, stability and comfort. are made for better grip and less slipping. The socks feature specially placed rubber knobs on the outside in ergonomic foot shape for a perfect fit in the shoe. Unlike Trusox, they do not come with rubber knobs on the inside - Trusox has patented this technology.
The brand's flagship model, the Ranna R-One Grip, which is worn by Sissoko, offers the following different technologies:
Ranna Sport R-One Grip Socks - Features
- Made in France
- A right foot / left foot adjustment with flat seams to avoid friction and skin irritation
- A compression effect for better support and optimal comfort
- Elastic bands at the foot kick and arch for better control and support
- The socks also regulate the temperature and dry quickly
- A non-slip grip provides an in-Shoe feel so that the sock becomes one with the football shoe
There are no other famous players apart from Moussa Sissoko who are wearing Ranna Sport socks currently. Other footballers who are using them are RC Strasbourg players such as Dimitri Lienard or Jonas Martin.
Ranna entered the socks market just last summer, with a notable feature: a sock 100% made in France! The Ranna Sport socks retail at a price of €24 for the R-One and €32 for the R-One Grip (worn by Sissoko).
