Angers Extend Kappa Kit Deal
French club Angers and their kit supplier Kappa today announced an extension of their partnership for an additional four seasons, until the end of 2022-23.
This renewal means that the deal between Angers and Kappa, which kicked off in 2013, will at least run for ten years. During this time, Angers reached the first tier in 2015, has managed to stay in it for four years now, and played a French Cup final in 2017.
François-Xavier Chupin, CEO of Kappa Europe said: "The renewal of our contract, accompanied by a significant increase in the value of our support for a club that is growing year after year, is in perfect harmony with our ambition and our project to make Kappa a major brand in sport in Europe. We are delighted to continue with Angers SCO, an ambitious, popular club whose evolution, vision and professionalism of its management team are widely recognized. Our commitment is expressed at all levels of the club and through all its components, whether it is with the pro team, the training centre or the football school, the new Angers SCO Footsall centre, the Angers SCO Handball, or as a member of the SCO Foundation. We are delighted with this global partnership which should support the club in its development."
Saïd Chabane, President of Angers SCO commented: "It is with pleasure and pride that we continue the partnership with Kappa for the next 4 seasons. A loyalty that will lead us to a 10-year collaboration, based on a strong and lasting relationship. Kappa supports us in our sporting ambition and in many club development projects: football, footsal, handball, SCO Foundation... Kappa is a technical and innovative brand. The new collection will be unveiled on May 2nd and will allow our loyal supporters to continue to wear the Angers SCO colours loud and clear."
