Everything indicates that Puma could be snapping up yet another high-profile player as Atletico Madrid goalkeeper Jan Oblak was spotted wearing a pair of blacked-out Puma goalkeeper gloves recently. Thanks to goalkeeper equipment expert Pedro Mayo for the tip.
Jan Oblak is considered to be one of the Top 3 goalkeepers worldwide by experts. Jan Oblak had been sponsored by Nike for several year.
Since a few months, however, Jan Oblak has been lacing up in blackout Nike Tiempo Legend VIII football boots. He still wore the Volt Nike Vapor Grip 3 keeper gloves in almost all matches...
RUMOR 😱

Jan Oblak To Join Puma And Wear Puma Future Grip 19.1 Keeper Gloves
Jan Oblak was spotted with blacked-out keeper gloves instead of his usual Nike Vapor Grip 3 gloves on January 16 2019. Upon closer inspection, the blackout / orange goalkeeper gloves worn by Jan Oblak can be identified as the brand-new Puma Future Grip 19.1 keeper gloves. This is another clear indicator that he will join the German brand Puma.
In the last few matches, Oblak reverted to the Nike Vapor Grip 3 while still wearing blackout Tiempo boots.
With many contracts having run until December 31 2018, it's well within the range of possibility that Oblak's was amongst them and that an official switch to Puma is near.
