There are plausible rumors that Puma will become the new kit maker of Spanish club Atlético Madrid from the 2020-21 season, which would almost two decades of Atlético's partnership with Nike. However, what many of you might not know is that Puma already had been making the club's kits in the past. We take a look at most of the kits Puma designed for Atlético Madrid.

Puma became Atlético's kit maker in 1983, replacing Spanish brand Meyba. In total, Puma made the jerseys of Los Colchoneros for 12 years, until 1998.

The first Puma Atletico Madrid home kit was very classic. In the 1990s, Puma made more experiments with Atlético's kits - all Puma Atlético home jerseys still featured the classic stripes of the club, however.

In 1998, Puma was replaced by Reebok as the kit supplier of Los Rojiblancos. Reebok was Atlético's kit supplier for three years from 1998 until 2001. Nike took over in 2001.
