Wesley Sneijder Receives Netherlands Mashup Jersey
Netherlands legend Wesley Sneijder celebrated his final international cap recently. After Nike created a special Hypervenom for his 134th and final game with the Dutch national team, Blood in Blood Out (@bloodin_blood0ut), a Dutch project that creates mashup football shirts, has designed a one-off jersey.
The Wesley Sneijder Netherlands Mashup shirt by Blood in Blood Out combines all nine home shirts worn between Sneijder's first cap in 2003 and his last in 2018.
Several key moments from Sneijder's international career are highlighted, such as the famous 2-1 win over Brazil in the 2010 World Cup quarter finals, with both goals coming from Sneijder. It's remembered by the math details below the crest as well as the tournament patch on the left sleeve. On the right is the logo of the 2014 World Cup, during which Sneijder and the Netherlands reached the semi final against Argentina.
In other news, Nike is set to launch a limited-edition Mashup jersey to celebrate 20 years since it started sponsoring the club. This Wesley Sneijder shirt will obviously not go on sale, certainly not in major quantities, and is instead a one-off production for Sneijder's personal collection.
