Is Nike Not Allowed To Sale France 2-Star Jersey With World Cup Winners Badge?
Shortly after the 2018 World Cup, Nike released a 2 star version of the France 2018 home kit. The France 2-Star jersey Nike presented did not feature the badge of the 2018 World Cup winners, however. Now the France national team debuted the Nike France 2 star jersey featuring the official 2018 World Cup winners badge, raising questions if Nike will release the France 2 star jersey with the World Cup winners logo.
Nike Seems to Be Not Allowed To Sell Kit With FIFA World Cup Winners Badge
After Adidas-sponsored Germany won the 2014 World Cup, Adidas released the Germany 2014 home kit with four stars and the World Cup winners badge just a few hours after Germany's triumph. The Germany 2014 kit with the golden 2014 World Cup winners badge was available to buy, in contrast to France's jersey. All Germany kits released (and sold in stores) between the country's 2014 World Cup title featured the golden badge.
The golden FIFA World Cup winners badge was officially introduced in 2008. Italy was the first team to get the badge on their kit, and their Puma 2009 Confed Cup kit was also only sold officially without the badge.
In fact, the Adidas Real Madrid 2018-2019 home kit is also sold with the official Club World Cup winners badge. So it seems like that it is not allowed for Nike and other brands except Adidas to sell shirts with the golden World Cup winners badge.
Barcelona's 2016-17 home kit was sold without the badge only
The Nike France 2 star jersey is currently almost sold out everywhere.
