I know no one cares but EA tweeting about the Champions League final like this surely means they’re sweeping up the UEFA licence for FIFA 19 https://t.co/1tyx6tg8E0

It seems we got confirmation that EA has indeed picked up the UEFA Champions League and Europa League licenses, which Konami announced they lost just last month.
Speaking on Dutch television, FIFA and Fox Sports commentator Evert ten Napel said the following:
"For about six or seven days a year, I record updated lines in the studio in Utrecht with Youri Mulder. In 2019 as well, the game will get even better, because they've added the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League. I'm almost finished with the 2019 version, which will then go to the test centre, some very good players will check everything and after that, it will go to the stores in October. And then all those weirdos will be standing in line again at midnight."
As you can see it's all but confirmed that the Champions League will return to FIFA after almost 10 years. An official announcement from EA Sports could be coming as soon as at E3 next month, so stay tuned for updates on this story.
