Nike Announce New League-Wide 10-Year Chinese Super League Kit Deal
Update: In addition to unveiling the new China 2018 kit, Nike announced a 10-year commitment with the China Super League (CSL), CFA, grassroots events and community services. Nike will also continue to support HKFA, Macau FA and other clubs throughout Greater China. This contract renewal reflects Nike’s commitment to the growth of football in China, with support at both professional and grassroots levels.
The Chinese Super League (CSL) is reported to sign a ten-year extension with its current sponsor Nike, according to Chinese newspaper Beijing Youth Daily.

This new deal is set to take effect in June 2019 and run until 2029. The deal will see all players of 16 CSL clubs continue to wear Nike jerseys on domestic and international pitches.
Although the detailed financial terms of the deal have not been disclosed, it is believed to be twice the value of their current contract - Nike would have to pay a sponsorship fee of a bit more than CNY100m (USD 15.76m) each year.
According to Chinese sports reporter Bao Wenlong, Nike is looking to support the CSL by adopting a "cash+products" model. In other words, while the contract is worth CNY3bn in total (cash + products), Nike will have to pay only about CNY100m in cash for the league each year, which means about CNY3m for each CSL club.
Interestingly, Chinese Super League club Beijing Sinobo Guoan F.C. had plans to recruit its own shirt sponsor in the second half this year. It is likely that they will not able to sign an individual deal now as Nike and CSL will very likely extend their contract.
