New Oxford United Logo Revealed

League One club Oxford United today unveiled a new club crest to mark the club's 125th anniversary. Oxford United was formed on October 27th 1893 when Dr Robert Hitchings hosted a meeting at the Britannia pub in Headington to give the village cricketers a sporting activity to compete in during the winter months.

New Oxford United 2018 Crest

Compared to the previous crest, which just boasted the the famous ox head, the new Oxford United crest is much more usual. The iconic Ox head symbol remains central to the new badge, which reverts to a crest shape to incorporate the new design elements such as the lettering Oxford United and the club's colors.

The new badge will feature on Oxford United's 2018-2019 home kit which will be worn for the first time in the final home game this season against Rochdale.
