Bayern München Signs Qatar Airways Sleeve Sponsorship Deal

FC Bayern Munich today announced that they signed a five-year sponsorship deal with Qatar Airways. Qatar Airways replaces long-term airline sponsor Lufthansa, who had been Bayern sponsor for 16 years.

FC Bayern Munich's deal with Qatar Airways is valid for five years from the start of the 2018-19 season. The FC Bayern Munich Qatar Airways deal is an extension of their deal with current shirt sponsor Hamad International Airport and reported to be worth a few million more than the 10 million Euro (around 15 million Euro / season) the deal with the Qatar airport was worth.

"Qatar Airways is expanding and opening up new destinations in the Asian and US markets, which will help us to become more international and we will be able to develop joint strategies," said Jung.
