How To Create Isco's Custom Tongue Nike Mercurial Vapor Boot
Some months ago, we revealed that the Nike Mercurial Vapor XI boots of Real Madrid's superstar Isco do not feature Nike's actually tongue-less (tongue directly connected with the upper) design but a traditional tongue. Now Japanese football boots blog Kohei's blog remodelled a Nike Mercurial Vapor 10 football boot to feature the same construction as Isco's boots.
While Isco's Nike Mercurial Vapor soccer boots were professionally manufactured in Nike's exclusive small fabric in Montebelluna (Italy), Kohei used a simple shear to create the same classic tongue design.
How to - Create Custom Nike Mercurial Vapor Boots with Traditional Tongue
As is it visible where the traditional tongue would be, it is not hard but almost unbelievable easy to cut the Nike Mercurial Vapor cleats in a way to have a classic tongue.
Kohei took pretty much used old-gen silver Nike Mercurial Vapor 10 CR7 football boots to make this modification. But this makes not a huge difference as the tongue is actually almost identical to the one of the current-gen Vapor.
In fact, it is not uncommon for players to customize the boots they receive from the big brands, especially if there are big innovations such as the collar Nike introduced in 2014.
