Just a Copy? Introducing the First Knitted High-Cut Football Boot of Indonesian Brand Specs

Is this collar a copy of the Adidas Ace 16.1 Primeknit? Indonesian brand Specs, who are not well-known globally but pretty popular in South-East Asia, have released their first-ever high-cut football boot this summer that is remarkably similar to boots Adidas released in the past. Let's get into the Specs Accelerator Lightspeed Football Boot.

Specs Accelerator Lightspeed Football Shoes - Garuda Pack

This is the special Garuda Pack colorway of the Specs Accelerator Lightspeed soccer shoe.

Boasting the red and white colors of Indonesia, the Specs Accelerator Lightspeed Garuda Pack football boots edition are a limited edition release to celebrate the Indonesian Independence Day on August 17.

They boast a unique graphic upper. The brand's logo on the outstep and the sole plate are white.

Tech-wise, the Specs Accelerator Lightspeed soccer shoe strongly reminds us of the Adidas Ace 16.1 Primeknit boot (knitted collar) and the Adidas F50 Adizero (sole plate with external heel counter), while the 'Fishscale' upper is similar to the Adidas X 15.1.

Interestingly, the brand just added the collar to the 2017 version of the Accelerator, while the upper has not been much updated compared to the 2015 & 2016 model. Usually, the Specs Accelerator has not been available as high-end outdoor model with a collar yet, with the Garuda Pack edition the first we have seen so far.

A limited edition release, the Specs Accelerator Lightspeed football boot from the Garuda Pack retails at 799,000 Indonesian Rupiah (around 60 USD), only available in Asia yet. The indoor model of the boot has a retail price of 549,000 Indonesian Rupiah (around 40 USD).
