Ridiculous? Adidas Sunderland 17-18 Home Kit - On-Pitch Debut
When Sunderland released their new kit for the 2017-2018 season, it was one of the most discussed kits on the website because of its remarkable thin stripes design. However, while almost everyone agreed that the front of the kit looks great, the plain back of the jersey was already criticized by kit fanatics.

The initial impression many had after the launch of the mismatched stripes design was confirmed in the match against Bury. While the front and the sleeves of the kit feature many thin stripes, the back of the jersey is solid red, creating a not very great on-pitch appearance.
In fact, last season's Sunderland jersey featured a much more usual appearance with two red and three white vertical stripes on the front and the back.
