Rangers To Unveil New Away and Third Jerseys For 2017-18 Season In The End Of 2017?
Glasgow Rangers's 16-17 home kit will be also used in the 2017-18 campaign.
The club have decided to stick with last season's home shirt design after supporters were once again encouraged to buy club merchandise. The Rangers 16-17 home kit was very popular amongst supporters who were largely discouraged from purchasing one due to the controversial arrangement with Sports Direct.
Rangers Chairman Dave King said: "We have had to go with the old kit and in discussions with PUMA, it is absolutely impossible for us now to get a new kit in time for the new season and to register it with the league.
"We are going to have to go with the old kit for the new season, but what we will do, and are in discussions with PUMA already about, is to get a new second and third kit which will be launched as soon as we can, probably within a couple of months."
"As the Europa League is concerned, we had to register the kit already, last week."
Rangers announced that the previous contract with Sports Direct, which gave Sports Direct's Mike Ashley control of the club's retail arm, had been canceled and replaced with a new agreement. Rangers will now receive the majority of profits made from items sold in the club megastore and their online shop, while receiving a 50-50 split from materials bought in Sports Direct stores.
