361° To Become Brazil Jersey Maker?
Brazilian journalist Gabriel Mascarenhas reports that the Chinese sporting goods supplier 361° Sport plans to enter the Brazilian soccer market, with representatives coming to Brazil to make a round of visits to clubs and CBF.
The report also says that the Asian giant aims to surpass Nike in the Brazilian soccer market in the next ten years, despite not being having signed a single Brazilian club yet.
Some months ago, there were also reports that the FBI could pressure Nike to leave the contract it has with Brazil and that is valid until the end of the 2018 World Cup. The contract, which was originally signed between Nike and the Brazilian federation in 1997, has long been subject to investigations by the FBI. Supposedly, bribes were paid by Nike to then-president of the Brazilian federation, Ricardo Teixeira.
