Old vs New: How the Upper of the Nike Magista Opus II Changed After Less Than a Year
One of the highlights of the most recent Nike collection, the Motion Blur pack, was the fact that the Swoosh caved in to the criticism surrounding the second-gen Magista Opus and changed the upper.
Now, thanks to @soccercleats101, we are able to take a closer look at the new design and compare it side by side against both the first generation and the Magista Obra II.
The general shape of the shoe and structure of the upper hasn't even changed that much from the Magista Opus 2 to "2.5", with the main difference being that an undulated 3D texture replaced the previous "dimples".
Comparing it to the Obra, which featured a quite similar shape from the start, it's instantly noticeable how the structure is more pronounced compared to the Opus, with the general feel between Kangalite on the Opus and Flyknit on the Obra being the other main difference.
In the end, it's probably each and everyone's personal preferences in deciding between Obra and Opus, but there's no denying that the changes the latter model underwent were for the better.
