Adidas Confirms Olympique Marseille Exit
- Adidas Departure: Adidas will no longer be Olympique Marseille's jersey supplier after the 2017-18 season.
- Long-Standing Partnership Ends: Adidas had been Marseille's jersey supplier since 1996.
- Puma Takes Over: Puma will replace Adidas as the kit supplier, after speculation of the deal.
Upon speculation that Olympique Marseille would soon announce a Puma kit deal, Adidas today released a communique that confirms that the 3-Stripe brand will no longer be the club's official jersey supplier after the 2017-18 season.
Adidas Leaves Olympique Marseille
Adidas had been Marseille's jersey supplier since 1996 and launched a number of memorable kits over that period. After today's announcement, the last-ever Adidas Olympique Marseille kits (for the near future at least) will be released for the 2017-2018 season.
As reported here a few days ago, Adidas is set to be replaced by a company it knows all too well, Puma - although Under Armour was previously also linked with taking over at the Velodrome.
